Must buy

More detail on last post the fans on settings 1 are still very good at keep it cool AND i literally cannot hear the fan on setting 1.

Great temps

This thing got my temps down 17c on load that im very happy with but the noise this thing makes is rather loud to say the least. Id recommend this but id also recommend getting better fans for it. still 5/5

I must say I'm impressed. Using stock fans at high performance mode keeping my 3770k @4.2 under 45 degrees at full load! The install was relatively painless. Radiator it a bit chunky so beware and the backplate is a little awkward to adjust. The fans push a decent amount of air but are a bit noisy but to be honest I'm a gamer with a headset so don't hear them anyway! I would strongly recommend this as it has treated me well so far!

turned up six core i7 3.2 ghz 2011 to 4.8 ghz socet and temperature on the cooling water only jump to 35C recommend works perfectly well and the cold perfect....

Cooling my i5 3570k @ 4.5Ghz with no problems at all, max i've seen is 65c and idles around 30c.

Very easy to fit also, but the stock fans are rather loud, planning on replacing them.

Worth it

Got this cooling my FX 8150 at 4.60GHZ, idle temps are 28-32'c depending on the ambient temp and loads I've seen at a max of 49'c.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a great CPU cooler.

Good in all Weather

Using this badboy for my i7-930 4.1ghz overclock, its in a climate that's ambience is over 30C.
The fan's are a bit loud, but luckily the end-user for the system is 90 & deaf. So their none the wiser.
A great cooler for the money. Just check that your have plenty of space in your case, and preferable some additional top fans.

No Noise

I have this on my 1155 socket with 2500k running @ 4.6. I'm not sure why people are complaining about the noise coz even under load with only pull configuration it is very quiet. Temp reaches maximum 39 degrees under load.

Matt 2012-04-24

Extremley loud!

This cooler seems to be excellent at keeping your CPU cool, I'm doing about 26 - 27 degrees idle and never more than 50 under load so far....

The biggest problem with this cooler is the stock fans... they are extremely noisy, particularly during start up when it sounds like a hovercraft launching in your room.

I like others strongly recommend changing the stock fans ASAP...

Good bit of kit !!

unfortunatly im giving it a 4... ill explain, fitting is a little of a pain but i was ok with that, and the fans are stupidly loud... so need replacing.

Other than that what can i say apart from freekin awsome !!!!! my temps dropped by 15c idle and 13c under load... epic peice of kit highly recomended !! just make sure u have plenty of room in your case and also make sure you order a couple decent fans so your not dissapointed when it comes lol

i am currently running stress test : intelburn test and on my i5 2500k on 100% load its highest temp was only 58 and lowest was is very quite although i am using 2 akasa viper 120mm fans and they push an enormous amount of air through the radiator... i would recommend them fans because i heard the stock fans are very loud!...the reason i am only giving this 4 stars is because the screws they give you are not capable of push/pull config so at the moment i am only using push config...cant wait to see temps after push/pull!

Awesome bit of kit, bought this to use with an ASROCK Extreme 4 and a COre-i7 3820 which uses the LGA 2011 socket.

First of all, it already has thermal paste applied, so saves you a little cash there. My only gripe is that the currogated sheeting in the radiator is very fragile, so take care when installing it.

Oh and i nearly threaded the thing when installing it because the threads in the radiator were so badly cut. Make sure you install it slowly, and it'll work like a charm.

Idling at 26 degrees, maxing out at 32 at the moment.

Totally awesome. AMD 1090T@4GHz, replaced an Akasa Venom and lost 8 degrees C on full load. Now running at 38C full load on the lowest setting. What else is there to say?

Perfect for begginer OCers

I'm new to overclocking and watercooling, so I wanted a simple yet effective way to cool my CPU, and this does it perfectly.

With stock cooler my i5 750 @2GHz would reach over 50C idle, now at 4GHz it sits at 30C, ~65C under prime load.

It was very easy to install (just make sure to watch videos first, then instructions leave a lot to the imagination). The radiator fans that come with it are your average 120mm fans, so I switched them immediately for quieter ones as my case is already loud.

At first I was hesitant due to the price tag relative to other air options, but after having such a smooth install and overclock to 4GHz stable, the price feels far more than worth it.

Corsair Hydro H80

First off when I took this out of the box found the lid with tho Corsair logo had fallen off the pump along with the white backing plate! managed to stick them back on! does not say much for Corsairs pre delivery inspection. Now to the fans these guys are very, very loud when at full tilt. maybe a usefull thing if your cpu is overheating! but are only bearable when set to the lowest seting so you will need new fans. But I think why should I? this is suposed to be a high end cooler and at least they could supply quiet fans. Overall this bit of kit has reduced cpu temps by 5 degs at normal load compared to my Noctua twin fan cooler, worth the cost? jury is out on that one

Its Good

At first i wasnt impressed. Not by performance bu by noise. It is still by far the most loud thing in my case.

GOOD: Quality product feels solid and long lasting

Fans produce huge airflow and really do make an impact on the temperatures

Easy to mount and use.

Like the way the fans are controlled by the pump.

BAD: The instructions are v. poor.

The fans are unbelivably loud at full spin (suggest getting 2 high flow low noise fans)

The Cords from the fan are too short to reach the pump, need extensions which are not included.

Moved from an Arctic FP13 to the H80 and its almost perfect.
My 2600k @ 4.7ghz went from 71c under prime load to 62c, gaming loads it dropped from 63c to 49c!

I say almost as the provided fans are very very loud at full speed, I'd recommend changing them out if noise is an issue for you.

great product

Great product - well impressed my case Coolermaster CM 690 II Lite Dominator @ core i7 950 3.6Ghz D0 stepping idle 50oc with AC 7 Pro after 35oc - gaming was 70oc mark- after - 60oc max @ 4ghz + i mounted the CM rear case fan - on top extracting heat - and i have the H80 fans blowing air out of the case not in - now enjoying consistent max fps in css like before but no big fps drops cause by server lag- smooth baby yeh -

point- mount the 2nd fan on radiator after you installed the block onto CPU because it covers the mount screws on MB - + I had to remove the closest ram stick

- use the big foam from H80 box to cover ram cpu slot to rest cpu block cooler on when installing fan+ radiator as can get in the way

- google OC-ing your cpu before, acquire tried&testes settings and enjoy - PS OC at own risk-

worth the money :)

Great Cooler

I went from a Prolimatech Rev 3 to this huge in improvement. Running my i7 950 @ 4.00 idle at 34. Great cooler

Corsair Hydro H80

When I first installed this thing, it took a little while and it was fiddly and awkward with my LGA775 motherboard. After what took about half an hour, I managed to get it all on and set up.

Initial startup was scary as it was making weird bubbling sounds, and I simply thought I had a leak already. Turns out, after reading many forums, that this is perfectly normal. They leave some air in there for expansion, and after a few hours it clears itself up.

That was all fine, but my idle temps were 55C, which to me didn't seem right. First thought was to change the paste, so I did that and nothing changed.

Turns out that the capacitors on my motherboard were in the way of the block. So I turned the block 90C clockwise, and placed it down and firmly screwed it in. Now that it works correctly, my Q6600 sits at 35C idle and 39C under a prime95 load!

The supplied fans are noisy when turned to the second mode so if noise is an issue, simply change the 120mm fans. 5 Star service and product!

Excellent cooling system

one of the best cooling system

Ricky 2011-07-29

First off, this did not come with any instruction guide but I managed to fit it with no problems, I did check out a youtube video for the H60 installation which helped a lot. This has knocked 10c of my idle temps & nearly 20c under prime95. I have fitted this pulling air into the case from outside & with 3 exhhaust fans on top, case is corsair 800D & this configuration seems to work well. My old cooler was the Cooler master V8.

dick 2011-07-22

well brought myself h70 in which the h80 more than less the same, nice bit of kit.easy to fit,the only bad point is the fan is on the noisey side
