Just bought this after my PSU of 6 years finally failed, the psu has always been something that i overlooked in a build but damn, its hard to put into words but after the easy installation my system seems alot more stable/solid

Very well made and well presented power supply. Makes your case much neater being able to pick which wires you want in it, also its is very quiet and powers alot of gear in my case with ease.

Lost For Words

When buying this PSU i thought it would be much larger and far louder then what I'm experiencing!

The fan is extremely quiet even when under load, however the bowed grill protecting it means a fair amount of force is actually required to mount the unit if your facing the fan downwards.

Cables are a great length, however the cable that i used for my supplemental CPU power is very tight in my NZXT Phantom 410 case, it reaches, but not as much slack as I'd like, rest of the cables give more then enough length to work with.

High quality, quiet fan, effective power output, small unit, plenty of cables, can't go wrong here!

Great quality from Corsair

This is a great PSU. Fully modular with a good selection of cables a number of which are flat. Cables are a decent length sufficient for my Silverstone FT01

Nice and quiet can't hear the fan spin at all and that's not because its not spinning although it will only power up when things get warm.

One small criticism is that the fan grill which is rounded protudes slightly which means the bottom of the unit isn't completely flat. Its fine when its all screwed into the PC but struck me as a little odd. The grill can be removed without dismantling the unit though if it does get in the way.

pay the extra dollar and get a gold. queit, cables are jet black thought i had a rastas wig when open fit in my cm90advance plenty of room. what more can i say about a power unit.

Excellent PSU

Great build quality , lots of cables all modular. The cables could be a little more flexible and the 8 pin is a little short to route behind the board in a 600T. Just get one of these

Don't let that put you off though as this PSU will last a long time and with the new 28nm GPU's using less power it shouldn't need an upgrade to run high end SLI or XF in the future. I will add it is very quiet and seems to be efficient going by the reviews. The packaging is excellent and looks very smart installed in mine and my wife's PC's.

Buy one you won't regret it!

I Can't Hear You!

Does this thing have a fan? It is so quiet I didn't think it was working at first. Nicely packaged, it is a thing of beauty, and it's only the PSU! Lots of wires for all your bits and pieces although I did find one that has to fit my MB, not the main one mind , had to trail across the MB to plug in. I couldn't hide it round the back of my case like all the others. Are there extensions for these sorts of things I don't know? Anyway I'm very happy with it. Will it keep my electric bill down...? I'll tell you next month.

Excellent PSU

Bought one from Overclockers last Friday and received it on Saturday morning.

So quiet, powerful and intelligent! The fan won't spin until the system is in high load.

Highly recommend!

William 2011-10-18

Quiet, easily setup beast.

Brilliant power supply. Came well-packaged, with the power supply wrapped in a cloth pouch and the huge amount of cables in a more rugged bag.

Was easy to install, though it took me a couple of minutes to grasp which cables went where on the actual power supply as I've never had a modular one before. It's quiet as well, as the fan doesn't even spin up during idle-like loads and temperatures. Even when the fan does spin, even my case fans are louder. 80+ Gold does a lot more than just reduce your electricity bill!

So yes, really pleased!

So small and quiet

Unboxing this was such a treat. The PSU was in a cloth pouch and the cables in a separate one with ample foam to stop things bounching around during transit.

It is quite small at least compared to my old PSU and every cable has to be attached - so no unnecessary clutter in your case.
The main reason I bought this was the 7 year warranty and the advertised noise output which it doesn't disappoint on.
The fan seems to be off most of the time with the occasional spin during gaming sessions, and even when spinning I cant hear it!
I managed to route the 8pin CPU cable round the back of my case

Bought this for my new build and although I have no previous PSU experience I have to say this is a top quality product and is worth every penny.

It is completely modular which leads to minimal cable management (case is corsair 600T), runs my Phenom 955 at 4.0 Ghz and crossfire 6870's no problem and to top it all of it's nearly silent.

Not to mention a 7 year warranty

5/5 Awesome product would recommend to anyone

Excellent Product

Fabulous PSU solidly built this thing will last a long time.

Best PSU I have bought and the only PSU I have had to not mod the fan to silence the damn thing. On low load the fan doesnt even spin up and full loud you cant hear it anyway.

Only gripe is the short cables, a bit odd as unless you use an extension you cant route the 8 pib round the back of the 700d. You think corsair would have thought about this on their own cases.
