Silent is Golden although a little stiff

I fitted this PSU and to be honest I never realised a PC could be so quiet and I realised just how much sound comes from your PSU, I keep thinking my pc has shutdown it's that quiet. I did find the cabling a bit stiff making large cables such as the 24pin ATX cable and the 8 Pin PCI-E cable fiddly to fit without having to twist them in funny positions (small gripe really). I don't think the modular design is all that useful if you have a case with excellent cable management like my Phantom 410 and probably suites small form factors better that ATX, I found the side panel and internals just as messy when I had finished tidying up, although it was slightly tidier, it was not that noticeable and the visible mess was just the same. Still this is looking like a good PSU, it silent, easy to fit cables are long enough to manage and I was up and running in less than an hour.

Awesome PSU

Bought this to replace a cheap old 650w PSU and I'm not dissapointed at all. The fact it's a modular PSU means I now have really nice tidy cable management inside my PC.
The cables you get are very good in length and build. There's more than enough SATA power adapters This thing is also very quiet. The fan doesn't actually spin unless it's bearing with a heavy load.

One of the main reasons I chose this PSU is because I needed a PSU which would deliver enough power to my PC because my PC was suffering from shutdowns because my new GPU requires a lot of power (R9 280). Since I got this PSU I haven't had any problems since.
I also chose this because I'm a big fan of Corsair products and I'm trying to get my rig to use as much Corsair and GIGABYTE hardware as possible. I highly recommend buying this PSU.

Love this psu it's absolutely fantastic, it's quite, the efficiency is great, modular, it's just great. It powers everything in my system and I could still add another graphics card no problem. BUT, had I known more about it at the time I would have saved up for the 760i, basically the same power but digital and just a lot better it gives you more control over everything and that's what is essential to me. If you don't care about 760i then go for this.

Superb quality product

Just purchased this PSU to replace an Akasa 850 that was starting to blob. Replacing a power supply isn't something to look forward to, but it does give an excuse to tidy the cables a bit more.

Pleasantly suprised at what a difference modular PSUs make: almost half as many cables as before, and zero unused ones. The flat cable design helps as well: on top of reducing clutter, the internal temps of my Antec 902 have dropped to the extent that Prime95 for 30 mins only raises the CPU temp to 54C - impressive, and that's due the improved airflow inside.

PSU is incredibly quiet and highly recommended. Ordered on a Sunday tea-time; delivered Tuesday :-)

Solid performance

+Great performance and solid as a rock under load

+Modular design minimizes mess

+Absolutely silent when just doing desktop tasks

+Flat cables allow easy routing (and look better!)

Corsair goodness

Silent, no, really silent! Had to check fan was even working! Only had for a few days so can't comment on longevity, but my previous corsair (bronze) still runs after 3 years so I'd be surprised at anything else. Running 5 gig piledriver, gtx770 and 16gb ram all overclocked with no problems.

As the title, fantastic. Just to get it out of the way my only problem I had was with Corsair link, it turns out you need to purchase a special Analogue to Digital cable from Corsair... But apart from that, all is great :)

I have mine set up with the fan sucking the air up from under the case, thanks to my NZXT Phantom full tower :) My suggestion, always get a case with a raised base.

And for those who may get confused, the PCI and CPU cables can go in any of the 3 slots available, there is no set slot for the CPU one .

All in all a great buy, especially at
