Good drive

A fast drive, but you need the latest firmware and benchmark it to ensure you are getting the optimal performance.

Got one of these to install W7 HP 64-bit on to.

Make sure the drive has the latest firmware (1819 available from Crucial's website) on it and W7 will use TRIM to keep it in tip-top shape.

Quick to boot and accessing stuff on it is sprightly too.

So impressed that I'm considering getting the 128GB version to replace the HD in my laptop.

Put 2 of these in raid-0 to test on Windows 7 RC1 and as soon as I put the Intel Matix Raid Controller software on there they came in to their own.

Check these results on 3 popular disk testing tools

So impressed with how they run I want one for my laptop now.

Really Really decent drives.
Things are just lightning quick now, I think this upgrade has been the most impactful since buying the i7 4ghz bundle. Should kurb my impulsive upgrade purchases for a good while yet!

Bought 2 of these one for a laptop and another for something else and as a test, I put them in a RAID0 config and installed Windows 7 RC1 onto them. Then I ran a benchmark on them and the 300GB Raptors I have in a Raid 0 config as well to compare them.

Now, as far as I know, a pair of Raptors in Raid 0 is pretty much getting on for the fastest SATA Hard drive Raid setup you can get at the moment (certainly was the case when I bought them a few months ago).

But they've just been blown away by these SSDs, and they're not even the quickest SSDs you can get!

The Raptors averaged around 190mb with the SSDs around 250-260 (I did save that graph but managed to loose it!).

Quality drives

Very fast boot up times, fast execution times on anything in fact.
Having used raptors for years & from trying 1 of these = it's like a %1000 improvement in speed/ temps & sound (their noiseless).

Good so far

Gives me 7.2 point in Win 7 Ultimate x64.
I hear there are problems with this drive and Win 7, but so far I haven't encountered any, so 5 stars.
