A4-SFX V4 Mini-ITX Gaming Case - Silver
Now on its fourth iteration, the DAN case is extremely popular among SFF (Small Form Factor) case enthusiasts. It is ideal for users who need a compact system, such as developers requiring a case with a smaller footprint due to limited desk space or gamers who want a high-end PC experience with a case that doesn't look out of place in their living room.
All DAN cases have so far been designed by Daniel Hansen of Flensburg, Germany. His vision is to create the smallest possible gaming PC case, without compromising on performance or aesthetics.
The initial model was funded through an extremely successful Kickstarter campaign, which raised almost 400,000 Euros and drew international attention. It was so successful that Daniel Hansen could form a partnership with renowned case manufacturer Lian Li to produce brush aluminium chassis for the DAN A4-SFX V4.
Overview of the DAN A4-SFX V4:
- Extremely compact case dimensions of 200(H) x 112(W) x 317(L)mm and a volume of 7.25 litres
- USB 3.2 gen1 Type-C front port
- Constructed from premium aluminium with a brushed surface
- ADT R33UF-TU PCIe x16 Gen3 riser
- Accepts mini-ITX form factor motherboards (including all AMD & Intel platforms)
The DAN A4-SFX V4 has an extremely compact chassis, measuring a mere 200(H) x 112(W) x 317(L)mm with a volume of just 7.25 litres, that's roughly the size of a shoe box or a toaster. Through excellent engineering the interior space has been perfectly laid out to hold outstanding hardware such as Core™ i7 processors and powerful full-length GPUs such as the GeForce RTX™ 2080.
The DAN A4-SFX V4 has a distinct minimalist aesthetic. It is built from a 1.5 mm thick anodised aluminium in cooperation with case specialist Lian Li. This gives its exterior clean silver contours and an impressively smooth finish.
In keeping with its streamlined look, the DAN A4-SFX 43 features just a single USB 3.2 gen1 Type-C port and power switch on the case's front panel.
Thoughtful Planned & The Perfect Utilisation of Space
Daniel Hansen put considerable thought into the installation process for components. As a result, that unlike most other mini-cases, installing hardware is simple and comfortable.
This case uses a "sandwich" hardware layout. Using a PCIe® extender a GPU can be placed behind the motherboard, which makes the GPU a prominent feature. The PCIe® extender included with the A4-SFX is high quality and made by ADT.
A Compact case with all the details worked out
Hansen has also thought through the practical aspects, such as cooling, connections and power supply, to make sure the DAN A4-SFX V4 is a pleasure to setup and use.
The case allows for easy mounting of either SFX or SFX-L power supplies. The PSU is located in the front of the chassis. Depending on the size of the PSU, up to two 2.5” HDDs or SSDs can be mounted in the drive bay. The drive bay is mounted with rubber spacers to reduce vibration and noise. A third 2.5" drive can be mounted behind the front cover.
