With the " Ryzen 3000 " processor family based on the "Zen2" architecture, AMD has introduced a chiplet design , for example . The der8auer RYZEN 3000 OC AIO mounting frame replaces the AM4 mounting system on the mainboard. Accordingly, the der8auer RYZEN 3000 OC AIO mounting frame is only compatible with AiO water coolers that use the "AMD Socket AM4 Retention Mounting Bracket"! In addition to the compatibility of the AiO water cooling, the compatibility of the AM4 mainboard must also be considered , since components such as transistors prevent installation on some mainboards.

So far, only X570 mainboards have been tested for compatibility. However, the der8auer RYZEN 3000 OC AIO mounting frame will also be compatible with a variety of older AM4 mainboards in the ATX and E-ATX form factor. Mini-ITX motherboards often have components in their way that prevent the kit from being used.
Only for all-in-one water coolers that use the AM4 fastening system (Socket AM4 Retention Mounting Bracket)!

The actually possible lowering of the temperature by using the Ryzen 3000 OC mounting frame depends on the CPU and the CPU cooler used.
