***OVERCLOCKING GUIDELINES***

- Do not exceed 1.425v core voltage, doing so could limit lifespan of the CPU
- Aim to keep temperatures below 70c underload if at all possible
- Do not overclock with BCLK, again doing so could limit lifespan of the CPU
- Recommended memory voltage is 1.50v, so make sure to run your memory at 1.50v, higher than 1.60v could limit lifespan of the CPU
- These recommendations come from OcUK and Intel, your warranty is un-affected but we highly recommend you adhere to the above to make sure your CPU lifespan is un-affected
- All Sandybridge CPU's worldwide should be run at the above or lower voltages, no higher!

Intel 2600k

Just wanted to add to the general positive comments about the Core i7_2600k. An Intel CPU with multiplier unlocked for this

Awesome!

Purchased this as part of my new Z68 build. The stock cooler is terrible, and i'd have been better off blowing on it myself. Tempretures where getting into the low 90's! (and thats at stock speeds)

Since then i've put it under water (using an EK HF-360 kit, also from OCuk) and i couldn't be happier. Jumped it straight up to 4.8GHz with no problems at all, temps rarely go over 65'C.

I havent used the onboard GPU, so cant comment on that.

Very fast, runs very cool (with the right cooling)... very happy!

Stunning

I ordered this on Sunday and it arrived on my desk on Tuesday afternoon. Why is this stunning? Because I live in Portugal.

stunning bit of kit

Have this coupled with a Asus P8Z68 v pro and a corsair H100 water kit with 4 akasa vipers (running off motherboard cpu fan headers) in push/pull exhaust in a HAF 922 with a KFA gtx 580 and 160gb intel x25 m with 16gb corsiar vengeance 1600mhz. All bought from overclockers.

All i can say is WOW.

o/c'd at 4.5ghz using all C states and turbo, EIST enabled. idle voltage 0.994 with 1.3 on load for 24/7 use.

Idle temps are 27, at full load on 8 threads prime 95 blend test max at 59 and average at 55 ambient temp is 21.

Even at 5.0ghz never over 65!

Fan speeds range from 620 at idle to 1350 at full load using Asus AI sutie II standard profile - well within the viper specs - so very quiet too.

Also makes for good air-con unit as aiflow in case is immense even gtx 580 idles at 37 degrees and stays below 80 at load.

Well chuffed with setup especially processor it eats anything thrown at it like scooby snacks, and will always buy from overclockers as they are absolute quality!!!

Great!

After forking out for this cpu & the mem/board to go with it I was expecting it to destroy anything I could throw at it. I wasn't let down! Awesome!!

Great Performance

I've been using this since the first week of February and have never had this sort of huge performance - clocked to 4.7GHz water with HTT v1.376 vcore, 5GHz HTT disabled - even from my oc'd QX6700 @3.3GHz. Really is day and night. Overclocking with Asus P8P67 motherboard is very easy.

The Intel 2600K is used daily for Adobe PhotoShop CS5, Sony Vegas 10, Folding@Home, etc... has sped up my productivity two-fold. F@H temps never go above 60c @4.7GHz running 24/7 water.

For gaming; If your max. framerates aren't as high as expected then it maybe time to change to this 2nd gen i7 processor. In my case it was really limiting the GPU. As Jim said, best CPU from Intel for a long time, amazing price!

Great Processor

Amazing. Great for everything, be it gaming or general home media computing. Amazing service from Overclockers UK.

Ridiculous Overclocking

This was by by far the best component of my new Sandybridge build. Permanently overclocked @ 4.5ghz (very stable @ 45 degress - WOW). Using ZALMAN CNPS10X Extreme. MAX OC ive had is 5.5ghz...even then the temperatures were abnormally low.

Ive been a custom PC builder for 10 years now & this is by far the best CPU ive ever played with

2600K

Great CPU, popped out the box, popped into my shiny new Asus mobo and away we go. Auto overlocked to 4.5ghz with temps not over 65 deg on aircooling at full load with prime95.

5Ghz 1.35v LinX Stable

This cpu is simply amazing 5ghz 1.35v! What can i say!

K-Jay 2011-01-19

Its all that!

Have had this processor installed for a few days now. So far its a flier and I havent even tried overclocking it above 4.5 ghz yet! I upgraded from an i7 920 and there is a noticeable difference in everything, whether it is running games or general multi-tasking. It does take a while to understand how it overclocks compared to older x58 chips mind you. One point to note is that you must keep speedstep and turbo boost enabled to get the most out of it. I have water cooling so it should easily overclock to 5.0ghz and maybe beyond! Temp @ 4.5ghz is always 25-45 degrees.. Id say 4.8 is achievable with air cooling. Running this on Asus P8P67 Deluxe motherboard and I would highly recommend both products..

Crazy Crazy Crazy

As the title says Crazy chip 5.1ghz as easy as changing the multiplier and nothing else.
Batch number bought from ocuk
L039B470 ask for this if possible.

dave_beast 2011-01-08

Great chip

This is a great chip, runs cooler with less voltage. Can easily do 4.5ghz on 1.28vcore, probably less. If your serious about overclocking get this, can do sub 8 seconds SuperPI 1m
