In this version of Ducky ONE 2 Mini come Cherry MX Black switches are used. These key switches are purely linear, non-tactile switches, making them ideal for first-person shooters. A tactile pressure point is in this genre also not necessarily necessary because the keys in the heat of the battle like to be quite struck. The Cherry MX Black switches come closest to rubberdome gaming keyboards in terms of their characteristics, but offer much more forgiveness thanks to the high trigger pressure.

This compact keyboard layout not only lacks the numeric keypad, but also the arrow keys, the block with the Insert and Delete keys, and the Print, Num Lock, and Pause keys have been left out. The entire F-key row is also missing. All missing keys have been integrated into the remaining 61 keys and can be activated with the Fn key. This TKL mini or 60 percent layout results in a very portable and light keyboard.
