The Ducky One 2 Skyline comes with a revised, yet still minimalist, frame design that is now equipped with a modern USB Type C connector which can be installed in either orientation. Ducky uses reliable Cherry MX switches and combines them with PBT double-shot caps. This attractive keyboard comes with a case that has a grey and very narrow frame as well as keycaps in grey, black and blue.
The Ducky One 2 is a premium keyboard with high-performance mechanical switches that have been developed specifically for action games and First Person Shooters (FPS). Cherry MX Black switches are linear, non-tactile switches and as such are perfect for FPS games. A detectable actuation point is not necessarily needed for FPS games, since the keys will be repeatedly and fully depressed in the heat of battle. The Cherry MX Black switches are most similar in action to rubberdome gaming keyboards, although they require a higher degree of pressure to activate, which also reduces the number is mistakes when typing.
The key caps are made of polybutylene terephthalate, or PBT for short, and are produced using the double-shot process meaning they are significantly more durable than keys manufactured with ABS. In this process, plastic is poured around a shaped piece of metal or plastic so as to allow the two components to be joined together.
The popular and highly sought after mechanical Cherry MX switches are virtually "indestructible" and, depending on the switch used, are ideal for an extensive array of game genres. Thanks to USB N-key rollover, any number of keys can be pressed simultaneously without causing "ghosting" or other delays. The 1.000 Hz report rate in conjunction with the current USB Type C connector on the keyboard ensures that data is sent from the keyboard to the PC every millisecond.
The powerful ARM M3 micro-controller of the Ducky One 2 optimises communication between the keyboard and PC while simultaneously enabling the use of macros as well as their storage. Ducky also uses a dual-layer PCB to increase the service life and the signal stability of the keyboard.
To ensure the most ergonomic positioning of the keyboard, depending on the needs of the user, the keyboard comes with feet that can be folded in, as well as half-out and fully extended. Not only are a range of switches available to choose from, Ducky also offers a wide variety of colours to choose from as well.
