Great Little Simple Switch

Just bought one of these and I'm really happy with it! Simply plugged in and jobs done! Rear connection and front LED displays are great and no problems what so ever! Perfect!

I bought this a few days ago to go with my Netgear DG834GT ADSL Router. I had the problem of the fact that port 4 on the router didnt work and i needed another port.

My setup = 1x Desktop, 1x Laptop, 1x NAS and one port for the router and switch to connect to each other.

All i did was plug and play! And it worked straight from the beginning.

At first i thought it wasnt working but thats coz i didnt let it communicate with the router so that was my stupid actions.

The switch itself is incredible small and not much bigger in size than my blackberry except perhaps in thickness.

I hear you say "what about the throughput"? Two computers each with Gigabit NICs can communicate at 11.2MB/Second or equicalent to the full 100Mbps when transferring a Bluray disc. Enough said.

I only wish now that i had purchased the Netgear 8-port Gigabit Switch as i am planning on getting a few Powerline adapters and another network printer =(
