Powerful but irritating

This pump might be powerful but I had to score it from the perspective of someone who is looking for silent operation.

No amount of foam or isolation of the pump can mask the hum that emits from this pump that is audible over the sound of my admitedly quiet fans

Great pump, thinking to add a second

Been using this pump for a few days now with two EK full cover 5970 blocks, an EK tripple rad and an EK 150 res. Tubing is 1/2" ID 3/4" OD Tygon which really allows this pump to push fluid around without struggling.

Throughput is great and there is a lot of terbulance in the res from the input port. Temps on the 5970's are 30c idle, 50c under furmark.

One thing to note, use compression fittings and not barbs. I had barbs for the first couple days and everything was hunky dory, until I started benchmarking. Once the tubing warms up and becomes a little more pliable, the outlet on the pump has enough pressure to begin pushing the hose off, and that's with EK barbs and EK hose clamps.

Over all, a well earned 5 stars. As mentioned in the title, I'm thinking to get a second to allow expansion of the loop onto my CPU and RAM.
