GeForce GTX 1060 SC 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

The GP106 GPU of the GeForce GTX 1060 is manufactured using the new 16 nm process and bases itself on NVIDIA's Pascal architecture. The GeForce GTX 1060 shines in comparison to its predecessors from the Maxwell generation with improved efficiency and impressive advances in performance. The GeForce GTX 1060 is the mid-range model from the GTX 10- series of graphics cards and is available with 3 or 6 GB of VRAM. The GeForce GTX 1060 is VR Ready and comes with an HDMI 2.0b port.

Compact GeForce GTX 1060 with Single-Fan Cooler & Factory-Overclocked

The EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SC Gaming has a base clock of 1.607 MHz. With GPU Boost 3.0 this can be increased to a boost clock of 1.835 MHz when necessary. The VRAM is clocked at 4.004 MHz (effecitve 8.008 MHz). The card's cooling is provided by a single-fan cooler.

Affordable VR Ready Graphics Card from NVIDIA: The GeForce GTX 1060

The 6 GB GDDR 5 VRAM of the GTX 1060 are connected to a 192 bit memory interface on the GPU, allowing a memory bandwidth of 192 GB/s. The GPU 106 chip comes with 1.280 shader units, known as CUDA Cores at NVIDIA.

The GTX 1060 series of graphics cards support DirectX 12 as well as current gaming technologies like NVIDIA Ansel, Gameworks, Warp, Stereo X, BR Audio, PhysX and SMP (Simultaneous Multi Projection). SMP 4.0 offers huge advantages for VR, curved displays and multi-display setups.

Thanks to SMP, Pascal now supports 16 simultaneous Viewports thus allowing fundamentally more realistic graphics on multiple monitors, curved displays, or in 3D applications. VR in particular benefits from the new technology as it supports the simultaneous rendering of two Viewports in a single pass. By using multiple Viewports the rendered image requires a smaller number of pixel calculations, massively increasing performance in VR applications.

The GeForce GTX 1060 works with a TDP of only 120 Watts, and a power supply capable of supplying at least 400 Watts is recommended. The GeForce GTX 1060 offers an HDMI 2.0b por, three DisplayPort 1.4 connectors and a Dual-Link DVI output. The HDMI port supports up to HDCP 2.2 and is capable of sending and receiving encrypted signals.

In order to exploit the full potential of the card in the long term, downloading and installing new drivers from NVIDIA or EVGA at regular intervals is recommended.

Great card

This is a brilliant card the OC runs the memory @2012 with out any need to change settings manually and the cooling is floorless the card never go above 50c. I purchased the card from a different supplier and got it for £275 November 2017 but there price is £330 now after seeing the card run as well as it does I would still recommend it at this price over AMD cards.

Great card

This is a fantastic card with such a small size it gives superb performance the auto over clocking takes the card to
2008 MHz well above whats offered on the box and the single fan keeps it under 75c again impressive
I am using a 144hz monitor so I get more from the card. I'm playing GPU intensive games on max setting and have not dropped under 75fps also 3D editing software.
I had changed from a gtx960 which is a fantastic card but the performance increase from the 1060 is night and day so sum up this is a brilliant card for the price and would recommend the EVGA 1060 SC for it's size for its performance and only need's a 6 pin connection so no need to spend more on upgrading your PSU
No back plate or led if you are bothered by such things.

Brilliant Card ...

With this card I'm playing Doom at well over 100 fps..@ 1080p .. Next day delivery and given a 1 hour time slot for delivery .. Best upgrade for your gaming rig ..

Brilliant card, brilliant service

I wanted 1080p Ultra 60fps and this card absolutely delivers, it's awesome. Every game I've played so far looks amazing maxed out and gives high FPS. It could be used for more but I don't have the set up. It's near silent, very cool and easy to install. I thought about an RX480 and 970 as possible alternatives, after extensive research I decided to go with this card and I highly recommend it.

A word for Overclockers, their staff were a huge help during the both research and buying stage. I called them many times for information and/or advice and they were always polite, friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful.

Awesome card for 1080 play, stays super-cool despite the single fan, compact and good price too!

Prior to getting this EVGA 1060sc card, I had used quite a few cards, mostly AMD, mostly large heavy beasts with two or more fans that took up a lot of space and weighed a ton on my poor mobo. Immediately prior to this card, I had a 7970, which was ok but had started dying and had always ran pretty hot. I mention this history not to be random, but so I can make this important point: the 1060sc is a way smaller and lighter card, yet runs better than my previous cards whilst staying way way way cooler.

I've no doubt it would struggle more if I played recent games at resolutions beyond 1920x1080 maxed out, but since my monitor's max res is 1920x1080, it has so far managed to run all games at that resolution on max settings with FPS at or above 60 (when the FPS goes way over, I tend to limit framerate to 61 as my monitor is 60hz so may as well be kind to the card rather than stress it for no discernable gain). I know the 'average' temperature at load for this card is about 60c, but for me it has only ever gone up to 55c. I use the aggressive fan curve in precision x that essentially sits at 45% unless the card temperature exceeds 30c, when it scales up. Many undemanding games I play don't even trigger the fan scaling up from 45%. At idle, the card's temperature (with the 45% fan speed, which is inaudible in my system) sits happily at between 20c and 25c (depending on how long it's idled and ambient temperature). I know the UK isn't a hot place, but these temps are summer and in a case with only air cooling, so I'm very pleased.

I would thoroughly recommend this card to anyone that plays on a monitor that doesn't exceed 1920x1080@60hz. In this case, you will be able to run any existing game at max settings with a framerate at least high enough to meet or exceed your monitor's refresh rate, whilst your card stays cool and quiet. It's not a monster card for 4k(+) gaming, so if you've got such a setup this card won't cut it for you. However, it's a great intermediate tier card that performs like a monster if you only play @1920x1080 or below, and does so cheaply (money and power draw), quietly, and whilst staying far cooler than I thought possible with a single fan card. Love it.

Ooh, and here's something I found juicy: despite what the boost clock Mhz says on the box and EVGA's specs, my card, without me doing anything at all, runs out of the box at a boost clock at just a hair over 2000Mhz. (whilst staying at the temps mentioned above). Very happy with this, we so often find things underperform relative to the sales pitch, but in this case I'm delighted to find it runs even faster and cooler than specs suggested.

Excellent Card

Debated around the whole RX 480 vs GTX 1060 thing for a while. Decided that the 1060 was the right choice and that this card was worth the premium.

I would recommend this card for anyone having the same dilemma that I had.

The haribo's are always appreciated!

Runs very cool, and is very quiet.

Often runs around 2ghz, so well above the advertised speed.

At 50% fan speed, the card doesn't go above 50c, which is amazing (especially as the fan is barely audible even with the side panel off).

Overall, I highly recommend this card. It is a short card, but the cooling solution is more than adequate. Excellent support from EVGA really adds to the appeal of this card, as they are often regarded as the very best in the industry for customer support.
I previously used the non-SC 1060 from EVGA, but I would wholly recommend this version of it instead, the extra £20 is very much worth it.

The card arrived within 17 hours and delivery was free, so excellent service from OCuk in that regard.
