GeForce GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

The new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980/970 is powered by the next generation NVIDIA Maxwell Architecture, giving you incredible performance, unmatched power efficiency, and cutting-edge features.

Maxwell is the most advanced GPU architecture ever made, designed to be the engine of next generation gaming. Inspired by light, it was designed to solve some of the most complex lighting and graphics challenges in visual computing. For the first time, gaming GPU's can dynamically render indirect light using the new VXGI (Voxel Global Illumination technology). Scenes are significantly more lifelike as light interacts more realistically in the game environment.

The GTX 980 is the worlds fastest GPU and the GTX 970 offers the most advanced performance in its class. Each delivers 2x the performance of previous-generation card, bringing new gaming experiences to virtual reality, and ultra resolution 4k displays.

Enable the detail of 4k monitors, on a 1080P display. DSR produces smoother images by rendering a game at a high resolution, then downscaling it to the native resolution of the display using advanced filtering.

GeForce GTX 980 and 970 cards support tear-free, super-fast NVIDIA G-Sync monitor display technology including 4k. Together, these technologies provide the most immersive and competitive gaming experiences possible.

Worst EVGA Card Ever Bought

Let me start by saying the performance of the card is amazing it ran all the games I tested it on at 50-60 FPS with all the settings maxed and the cooling fans were not very loud at all. Now for the part that disappointed me and made me return it was the EXTREME COIL WHINE it could be heard even in a fractal design r4 silenced case with headphones on, tired to get evga to help as there customer service is supposed to be legendary but there service was far from it. So all in all if you want a card that preforms and you can stand the extreme buzzing then this card is for you, personally I wont be buying anything from evga again.

Accessible 4K Gaming

I bought one of these along with an the Asus first 4K G-Sync monitor from OcUk. The card ran on 4K FarCry 4 on high settings with AA turned off at around 30 frames per second, coupled with the G-Sync technology there were no tears, flickering or any issues. A very decent framerate for a single card at 4K, I'm going to buy a second one when I get the chance and SLI them up for a great 4K experience.

Brilliant cards!

I bought two of these cards for SLI, wanting the best GeForce GTX 970 cards I could get and these are it! EVGA always provides outstanding quality and their FTW range of cards are very highly clocked over NVIDIA factory default. I chose a pair of these over GeForce GTX 980s as the 980s are only very slightly faster than the 970s, with a lot higher cost per card.

I have not bothered to tweak these cards with EVGA PrecisionX as they are already highly clocked and perform very adequately, although I'm sure there's still headroom for overclocking given the fantastic EVGA ACX 2.0 coolers. These are noiseless on the desktop due to the passive cooling, and do not produce too much noise even on active cooling in games.

My two cards are running the likes of Far Cry 4, Battlefield 4 and Elite Dangerous on my LG Flatron 34UM95-P monitor, which is a 34" IPS monitor running a resolution of 3440x1440. The awesome FPS I get in every game at this resolution, with top settings and anti-aliasing, is a testament to the performance provided by them.

Really happy with the 970 FTW, I'd heard some horror stories about the ACX 2.0 cooler but the cooler is very good (maybe a little but noisy at full load, but no noisier than an MSi Twin Frozr). Running anything & everything in ultra (Max Settings) with no FPS drop. A 980 cant be much better than this?
