Not sure what you mean by that - if it doesn't have Snow Leopard in the box you can order a DVD for £7.95.

I would be surprised if Apple delay any new hardware orders for a few days then ships it and surprisingly it has Snow Leopard.

Last time that happened they had Tiger pre-installed and gave you a free disk for Leopard with the computer.

I've just bought the family pack as we have 3 macs. The Macs came with iLife 09 which is on a separate 'utilities' disc - will I be able to use that disc with Snow Leopard, or is it somehow tied to the old operating system?

Ok, I've read through this thread and I'm a little lost.

Is the £25 disk just an upgrade disk, or can it to a fresh install of OS X without needing Leopard pre-installed?

Or is the Mac Box Set the one with the disk that can do a fresh install of OS X 10.6, as I would rather buy that than upgrade.

The £25 disk is only usable with Intel Macs with a Leopard installation already on it, you can either upgrade or do a fresh install.

The Mac Box Set allows users of 10.4 to install/upgrade up to 10.6

I'd imagine it just asks for a Leopard disk to 'check' you have Leopard before installing.

Usually they'd ship it on the 28th and you'd get it a few days later.

With the bank holiday they may ship them early but it's impossible to say for sure. You'd be best off ringing Apple to clarify.
