Looks good, how much are the new cards at though? I'd like to squeeze in a gtx 295 or equivelant card whilst staying as near to 1k as possible :) Thanks for all the help so far.

Just a note I don't probably need 1 TB of storage so I maybe couldget away with less, giving me more money to spend on a good GPU

Heh - see my sig !
The price of storage is so low nowadays that I'd take the 1Tb drive. You're not going to save that much and you may need the space. I've been thinking about dual-boot...

Wait and see how the i5 performs, especially if it's mainly for gaming, should be on par performance wise with the more expensive i7 CPU's. As for waiting for the newer cards, it's up to you, but you could play the waiting game for quite a while, always something new coming out. The new cards will pretty expensive in comparison to the current range, but should come down after being out for a little while. At the moment the 4890 is a great card for the price (£120) and honestly can't see it getting any lower, at least not anytime soon.

Great :) I saw a post somewhere saying that they had to improvise a bit due to the cooler(?) being quite big. Do you know if this is a problem? Just want to avoid anything other than the norm on my first build at all costs! Thanks for all of this help by the way.
