Anyone of you guys have your kit insured?
I'm in 2 minds to get mine insured or not. I'm a very very careful person with my kit and very protective of it when out in public but with my recent upgrades, it will all comes to a total of £1600ish worth of kit;
Olympus E-620
HLD-5 Grip
25mm f2.8
50mm f2.0
14-54mm f2.8-3.5
Metz A-48 flashgun
With this amount of kit and 90% chance of all kit going out with me whenever I'm out, it would be wise to assure myself with some insurance, right?
I've looked at http://www.eandl.co.uk/leisure-and-lifestyle/camera-insurance and http://www.photoguard.co.uk/ , anyone used them? For around £7 a month, it feels like a no brainer but do one really need it? £7-9 a month is more added bills to my studenty life, on top of my phone bills, rent and electric/gas...
I'm currently residing in Uni head-leasing accommodation in hull, so no home content insurance, but my home in Portsmouth has it.
Any opinions?
