Slow delivery

Ordered a 13" Macbook Pro on thursday :D yey

problem is it says it wont be delivered till the 20th of Oct.

I got an email today saying that it has been shipped.

so what takes so long?

They tend to ship them direct from where they're produced, by ground. So China or the Czech Republic by rubbish ground couriers. They stop EVERYWHERE on the way as well, if you look at the shipping logs :/

Sometimes they come from Ireland, when they do it's quick. It's a lottery when you buy from Apple especially with machines.

oh thats not very good lol

so my laptop has probably travelled further than i have, great :p

is the estimated delivery time generally accurate?

My mini shipped Monday, jumped from estimated delivery next Tuesday to arriving Friday once ups got it, was a nice supprise. Total order time was 8 days from the Friday before ( non standard spec). Came via Ireland.
Well at least the shipping is free :)
