Hi all,
I know there probably arn't many who are into their Blues guitarists, but just in case there are, just a heads up that Walter Trout is currently doing a UK tour of some small (and large) venues.
I hadn't realised, so it caught me by suprise that hes playing a tiny venue about 15 minutes from my house next Saturday, but I will be collecting some tickets tommorrow
For anybody who doesn't know him, but is interested, lots of his stuff is on Spotify, but to cut a long story short he was the right hand (guitarist) man for many well known acts, Hooker, Mayall and the like for many years, but then went solo in the mid 80s. You will find lots of stuff with him jamming with the likes of Buddy Guy etc on Youtube if you look.
He sometimes goes a little OTT and (although I have never personally seen him live) sometimes seems to crack some pretty terrible jokes, but the man can play a guitar like a demon.
There are loads of shows listed on his website, but hes about half way through now, so its not the best heads-up ever!
And for anyone in Manchester who loves their guitarists, get yourself to Academy 3 next Saturday!
