Cost of magazine advertisement

Got an assignment due in pretty soon, needing some rough figures on advertisement costs for 1 and 2 page spread in a magazine, we did chose Elle UK But they havent replied and its been over a week. Any guesses?

Totally depends on the publication and the location in the magazine, could be £3-400 for a full page for a less mainstream mag or £800-£1k for something more popular, up to £2k for an inside back cover or back cover.

Then if the Magazine has any exclusive deals with the people advertising you could be paying 4k a page. Obviously it can be cheaper as well depending on the time of year etc. You will pay more if it's a one off advert, many magazines only let you advertise if you agree to running for 6months+, although not always the case for more specialised publications.

I have placed adverts in 'Cycling monthly' magazine (55000 circulation).

For a full page full colour it's about £1200, negotiable down to about £1000.


most of them will deal - saying things like 'We'll review your product with 2 colour pages if you place 6 adverts'. It's all a bit rotten really -- place lots of payable adverts if you want previews/reviews etc/space on their 'gossip' page etc.. :( Although they didn't go as corrupt as saying 'place adverts for a GOOD review'
