You do need to buy extra fans. I bought 2 140's for the top and an extra 120. This gives me 2 x 120 intaking at the front and 2*140 +120 pulling air out the top and back. My temps are ver reasonable, but the only heavy graphics game I have run is gta iv. My 5850 doesn't seem tp rise much higher than 50celsius.

My specs are in my sig, my temps rarely go above 50 degress. I'm using a total of 6 Sharkoon SE 1K RPM's, and damn is it quiet!

I have mine with just 3 fans:p

2x120mm at the back in push pull on my H50 and 1x140mm in the bottom pulling air in. The fans are all on about 25-30% with the provided fan controller as well, so can still turn them up for more cooling power.

The main components are an i7 @3.8, 5850, Samsung F3.

Temps are higher than my old antec 300 but I wanted it to be silent.

CPU hits ~70c and GPU hits ~65c playing BC2. That's with pretty high ambient temps as well, about 22-23c.

You can get away with having very few fans but it does get warm. If you stick some more fans in it's fine and still very quiet. I've still got an extra 140mm and 120mm that I bought with the case because I'd heard it needed it to be ok, but after doing some tests I was happy with the temps with 3 fans.

Here are my temps, this is with:

2x120mm Fractal at the front
2x140mm Fractal at the top
2xApache on CPU
1xApache exhaust
1x140mm Fractal in the side panel (exhaust)

Bear in mind this was with 5870 crossfire.

From my 3.77 tests, got it running on less volts now.

2x Extract, back and top

3x intake, bottom, 2x front

Yeah cheers for the info

Will definitely buy some extra fans for it and keep them slow, In the current antec 300 its cool but really messy.

Birthday present to myself on monday.

I didn't like the Fractal fans, although they were quiet, they barely lifted a sheet of paper so I swapped them out for some Sharkoon Silent Eagles, much better :D

i'm using all fractal fans, 2 on top exhausting (140mm), aswell as a 120 on the back, then 2 120's in the front bringing air in with another 120 below.

I'm getting around 60-65ºC when stressing (i7 920 at 3.8ghz) and around 35-40ºC Idle. (Also cooler is a Noctua NH-D14).

One thing i notice is: i don't hear a thing even when stressing, so i might get some better temps with other fans but probably not the same noise reduction.

Thinking about bagging myself one also but not worried about temps just curious, anyone running this with a H50?

Just wondering if it performs any different than in your previous case (a bit hotter etc) if you had it in another and if there were any raises in temps with your card or anything

Don't mean to steal from OP :p
