Problems: (If any)

So far these are the possible fixes and or causes!

FIXES?

1) Update your Punkbuster
2) Update to the latest Beta drivers ( Nvidia? ) ( Before installing the latest Beta Drivers, use this New (Unoffical) AMD/Nvidia Displayer Uninstaller : DDU)
3) Some have said running in windowed mode
4) High CPU usage + Low GPU Usage - Increase supersampling
5) "Still testing" Windows 8 appears to offer better performance than Windows 7
6) Closing Battlelog(browser) before you play

7) (Testing)
Make a user.cfg file and EDIT with these details, place in Documents/Battlefield 4 and in your origin/bf4 folder where the exe is.

Put this line in, only if you want to
GameTime.MaxVariableFps 60 "120 for 120z monitors"

7B) Start BF4 than switch to your taskmanager and make priority of BF 4 to low, that will help ( Thanks ocuk )

8) EA have announced a fix/patch http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/news/view/welcome-to-the-open-battlefield-4-beta/

Low frame rate/stuttering
We believe we are close to fixing this too. We will release more info as we know more. Meanwhile, please make sure that you have the Beta drivers for your graphics card. Also, please try changing servers to see if your performance increases.
CAUSES?

1) Some have said that Windows 7 is a pretty big factor in the cause of peoples problems, while others disagree. If you have Windows 8 and it's fine, let us know!
2) "Raw input" seems to add input lag
3) If you have a black screen or long loading time, could be Punkbuster related

Thanks to the ocuk members for keeping this up to date :)

UPDATE :

Is your game stuttering? Then use this tool and post back the results

your card isn't strong enough for ultra unless you want subs of 30 fps.

you should be running high with either 2msaa or msaa of for decent play.

Specs:

i7 4700MQ
780m GTX overclocked + beta drivers
8GB DDR3 1600
Windows 8
1920 x 1080 60Hz

Running on Auto which is a mixture of high and ultra and get smooth game play however it feels as though there is input lag even with vsync off.

Changing to medium and low the game play seems to be smoother but still have input lag.

i5 2500k 5ghz
690 GTX standard clocks.
16GB Kinkston HyperX BE DDR3
Windows 7x64 Ultimate
1920x1080p 27" Asus

Running Ultra with everything turned on to max, and highest quality setting in nvidia CP. Also currently running SLI. 320.49 drivers. Was closing BL whilst in game but this started to crash the actual game. Getting >60fps!

Intel i5 3570k oc @ 4.5
2gb 660ti OC
8Gb DDR 3 1600
Windows 7 x64

Running at 1080p ,
All on ultra - default not custom
Getting 40-55fps
Lag seems server side , runs fine
Also on beta drivers.

Seems people with higher spec systems are getting most of the problems

GTX 670 Direct CUII 4GB at stock

****NEWEST BETA DRIVERS**** (331.40)

Updated to the abover drivers after a very laggy, FPS dropping day yesterday where even on low it sucked until i too the res down to 1300x768 on low.

Now playing on Ultra with no problems and around 55-60 FPS Avg.

Frame rates are much better with the 327.24's however it's still a stuttery, juddery mess!

It feels as if I'm running Battlefield 4 on an old hard drive :D

EDIT : It isn't VRAM causing it as i'm only using 963MB

Like the OP I'm having lots of performance issues...Major slowdown, lagging and stuttering. It looks like a memory leak in places, when it does work it's otherwise pretty decent.

Same here, I can play BF3 on High/Ultra on most maps, but on BF4 I get extremely low fps even on the lowest settings. I hope it gets fixed... soon.

same here cant play it with a i7 64 internal mem and run on ssd it looks like a bad slide show even with 14 ping !!!!

Same here. Practically unplayable. And my PC is no slouch. I know it's beta, but come on.
Horrible video lag. All settings on low, average 26fps with dips down to 3. Unplayable.....

This is still Alpha. Beta should be smooth as silk with this rig. Plenty of i5 and i7 guys complaining about the same thing!

Probably not driver related but game will need patching

It was real bad yesterday with the beta drivers but upon switching it's playable now. Currently playing with preset option of High.

Getting between 40-60 on high with drops sometimes into the 20's and loads of stuttering at times. It'll be fine one second stutter and drop to 20 then instantly go back to 60 and other times stutter for anything up to 5-10 seconds.

Settings, ULTRA, MSAA 4X

Not done any "benching" as of yet through Fraps but things are smooth for me from the get go, no stuttering, no lag...nothing. Although with my card I expect this :p

I'll get some FPS results later tonight when I jump back on.

On high settings, I'd get 57-60fps (V-sync on)
On everything set to max Its jumping around anywhere between 40-50fps.
