But this would be a huge catch up job by AMD.
Can they really match Nvidia this time round?
It would be like Arsenal winning the league next year if AMD manage it!
Be like Accrington Stanley winning the Prem more like

Lol we are old, classic AdvertExactly!
It's common to find recommendations to disable AV software when installing drivers. Any drivers. A 'power user' would or should know this. Blaming AMD for something your AV program is doing, it ridiculous. Top tip, disable your AV or get a better one.

If this is the case you would have to wonder what AMD has been doing the last year or so but then if it is true and they can price it around £450 it could be a masterstroke.Sounds like AMD Big Navi might be a bit of a damp squib after all
2 years and according to the most recent leaks they've only managed to get performance on par with 2080Ti (or slightly more in games AMD do well in)
This won't help with Nvidia's top tier pricing for their next lot of GPUs
Partying on all the Zen profitsIf this is the case you would have to wonder what AMD has been doing the last year or so
Must have been on medium settings and not on AAA titles
"No sources are mentioned though, and lately it seems more guesswork from these twitter users rather than solid concrete info."
Yea. Anyone can make this stuff up. Will wait and see. If true, there is a huge gap between the 3070 and 3080 this time. Will be interesting to see what the performance and price difference is."No sources are mentioned though, and lately it seems more guesswork from these twitter users rather than solid concrete info."

Considering the poor performance uplift from 10 series, it's not unreasonable to expect a 50% increase this time round.
With RT on its actually a performance regression from the 10 series.Did you not SEE! They have raytracing....
