Overwatch is fast paced, and Planetside 2 can be,but even then I am more CPU limited during the large fights(upto 400 people in one point). Fallout 4 I am CPU limited too. So I am looking realistically at a better CPU first. Will see how the new ranges pan out once AMD and Nvidia launch the full stack.

I want the new Xbox. I really do.

When Nvidia launched the 20 series I almost laughed myself into a stupor. I already had a XB Scorpio I got for a song about 2 months after launch (£330 IIRC, no controller but I had one). Last Christmas I bought myself the Gears 5 edition X and I was again very impressed. Game looks stunning.

I've grown awfully fond of my couch. And not getting RSI after a ten hour Fallout session.

Just checked Doom Eternal. Seems I am OK.

Anyone think the 8k demo has fooled many into thinking the 3090 is going to run games like Cyberpunk and Flight Simulator at 60fps?

Funny they market it that way when it's not all that more powerful than the 3080 by the specs

And no issue with the 'only' 10GB of vram?
Well I am not happy about it, but with RTX IO I think I will be fine. Oh and it’s only 1gb less than 2080Ti ;)

Haha not at all mate and I am very pleased I did not have to anything! Must say I was pleasantly surprised on the whole by NVidia, now for benchmarks !
:D

If the 3090 was about £1,000 I would buy it.

But now I have to factor in a new power supply...and I'm tight with my cash :)

You buying the 3080? It will be much better than the Titan XP. Like double I think.

Oh and @TNA you won buddy! Gratz
;)

Thanks :D

Well prices are high but expected and I say good luck to those who get any of the new series GPUs. Enjoy brothers and sisters :)

Well if all you wanted was the top tier card, then yes. But I will now be able to buy a 3080 which will likely smash the 2080Ti in nearly every way. Especially in your favourite area, RT for half the price you paid for your 2080Ti.

Not to rub it in or anything but I am really happy I skipped the 2000 series. Hardly anything RT related came out in the end, not 1 game I was interested in personally. Cyberpunk 2077 will be the first for me.

Right now I will wait for reviews, but I am leaning towards pre ordering a 3080 FE.

I think its fair to say that 2080TI on the bay is not going to go for more than £500ish.
Most listings ending soon have 0 bids at around £600.
And those who have bids, the last bids were 29/30 August.

Unfortunately, Im one of those guys lumbered with a 2080Ti :) Thats the way it plays sometimes.

My 1080ti is probably going to CEX this week (Friday) before they start dropping the offer price....

CEX will give me £278 cash no hassle...

I bought the 1080ti exactly 3 years ago for £699 ive had my time out of it.

3080 is the route for me

3080 Ti will probably be £1k.

Will be spec'd only slightly below the 3090.

I'm guessing yields for the 3090 on Samsung 8nm is terrible right now. 3080 allows the careful fusing off of bad die area.

I don't understand why some 2080Ti owners are unhappy with the 3090's value offering.

It offers more of a performance increase over the 2080Ti than the 2080Ti offered over the 1080Ti and it does so with a smaller price increase than the 2080Ti had over the 1080Ti.

I think the prices are great, if you need a new GPU. They are at least back to Pascal levels.

Because their 2080ti is worth peanuts now
