See, I appreciate the effort to try and save some money, but if I'm gonna get some extra storage (if I even need it), the convenience of getting that Seagate drive, popping it in and you're good to go is worth the premium I'd say.

Anyone know what time the embargo lifts today?

Hoping to see some Series S reviews today. They either left it this late because its not all that impressive or (fingers crossed) its surprisingly good and they didn't want to put off Series X pre-orders. I might be a tad optimistic with the latter :o

Are you sure? Isn't the one below from the digital foundry video with the Samsung 870? I can't find it in stock anywhere in the UK.

Ah I didn't know about the Digital Foundry recommendation.

I use Ugreen usb 3.1 caddy’s and they work great. Have about 4 of them with no issues...

What throughput are you getting on that adapter?

Apparently John Lewis was supposed to release their stock for pre-order in mid-october but still nothing. Pretty poor for a big retailer, maybe they haven't been able to secure any stock.
