They have already explained that, they have 2 types of stock, one for retail IE selling to us and one that comes for PC builds without all the pretty packaging etc probably cheaper to them and they are forbidden by the manufacturers from selling those to retail.
Hence you can buy a built PC but can't get that card retail wise.... daft I know but they have to go with the manufacturers instructions or they will get nothing.

Would like to buy some magic beans.

I’d like to tell you I pulled out of the queue and you have all moved up a place, but I didn’t even get in the queue.
I can’t be assed to wait till well into next year to be able to see an “Add to basket” symbol.
So I just ordered an in stock 90 (not from here) as I felt like OC are not worth MY hard earned money.

There are definitely issues with shipping and those could get even worse after Brexit proper. However, this does not explain why hardly any cards of certain 3080 models (Asus Strix OC/Non-OC, EVGA, etc.) have shipped. If you are prepared to splurge on a GPU, you can get a 3090. The 3090 FE was in stock for 12 hours or so, yesterday. Even though that card is poor value compared to a 3080, I suspect that was more than "an OK amount" in Gibbo-speak. So these cards are getting in the country. I suspect there is a multitude of reasons, none of which Gibbo or the vendor reps are prepared to admit to.
A table that I have seen elsewhere on the internet debunks the 10,000 shipping container rumour for me...Stock is out there and in volumes FAR greater than OCUK have been able to procure, my card of choice here has been cleared on that table...VERY ANNOYED

I know people are annoyed (I am also in the 3090 queue) BUT can I remind people....

Disguising the name of a competitor and/or asking for hints about where to buy an item is against the rules and will get you banned for 48hrs.

Vent, chat and discuss why you're annoyed but do it in a way that doesn't break the rules :)

I’m sat here hoping that the fact that ocuk can offer next day pcs with msi cards means that they have a large stock of them for customers that have already preordered them.

I guess my hopes of getting an email today saying my card is on its way will be dashed soon enough. :(

@Gibbo I would like you to explain this! I understand about si stock but I can’t believe that regular retail stock is not going in these PC’s since you shipped next to none vs competitors and people have mentioned in this forum they had ordered pre-built PC’s from OCUK that came with the retail box for a rtx3080!
@Gibbo its time to get transparent with you customers and post a update to explain this
I've explained this before. Nvidia allocate GPUs to both the retail and the system integration sectors and tell their partners where to send the stock. This stock was allocated by the partners for our SI business and I purchased it, not Gibbo. Nvidia and it's partners have hundreds of large scale system integration customers, of which we are one. These customers employ many thousands of people just for the building of said systems. To ignore those customers because the retail sector is so vocal and toxic makes absolutely no business sense.

The fact that the stock that I receive is retail boxed is irrelevant. It's generally easier for the suppliers that way, so there are no "brown box" or OEM packaged cards available. It would be easier for us if there were. Nobody questions why PC Specialist, for example, are receiving stock for their SI business. Nobody is questioning why Scan are receiving stock for their SI business. So why should I be pulled over hot coals for keeping my SI business going?

The simple and overarching fact is that my SI allocation is a small percentage of the overall RTX 3000 series supply. I think the only card where I've received even close to the stock that Gibbo has recently is the GTX 1660 Super, so I'm not responsible for Nvidia's crappy supply and neither is Gibbo.
