Thought i'd make a thread for comparison sake.

Excited to see what a 3080 will do, maybe 8-9 million PPD?

We shall see

The question is points per watt. If a 3090 can get 8 million that's twice what a 2080ti does for <50% more power.

I'm interested in a 3070 which is less power draw than my hungriest card (TitanX) but could be getting 2080ti ppd potentially.

What we don't know yet is what Nvidia has really done with these CUDA cores. Does a 3070 really have 5888 cores or is that just like SMT cores?

What about the possibility of vGPU where the 3xxx cards can allegedly be split into multiple virtual cards allowing more than one work unit at a time? Will that work and will it be beneficial?

Can't wait.

Fixed price energy plan 4tw

I keep thinking the CUDA core count is a fudge, didn't expect a ten thousand cuda core card for another 3-4 generations

well it's crap at mining which is a ral surprise, so that doesn't bode well for folding? Just throwing it out there with nothing else to base it on really...

At least 50% more mining some sh**coin than a 2080Ti or RX5700, probably more once developers get hold of one.

Strange as techyes city said they won't be used as mining as when he tested them they were poor? Hey ho, however be interesting to see, as this 5700xt is solid at FAH, I want more millions per day.... running on this 5700xt and also my 2x570 crossfire rig... BUT I NEED MORE POINTS lol
