I've noticed that when I set the max gpu voltage back to 1175mV in MPT the min voltage will drop closer to 660mV in light loads and around 680mV while playing BfV which is crazy as it's only using 80W.
The only things you touch in MPT are Watts and TDC, and perhaps Max Voltage (if you like to under volt). If you touch anything else things break.

Just ran Ghost Recon Wildlands on my new Red Devil as it's the most modern game I have (not modern at all lol). I am getting terrible performance. 45fps....cpu usage is around 33 - 40%. Resolution is 5120 x 1440. Anyone else tried running GRWL? Oh and in game benchmark temps shows 0.

What is gpu usage and clock speed at?

Not a game I am familiar with, but somethings up as a 6800 XT is getting over 60 FPS at 4K in this video
.

Would be useful to know what settings you are using in game?

Try setting the minimum frequency in Radeon Software to 100Mhz below your maximum.

Might want to try uninstalling
too see if it helps.

Setting is just 15% power increase in Radeon software and I haven't checked clock speeds yet.

Yeah it's getting worse fps than a 6800xt. Might be my old cpu. I am running an i7 5930k but I thought at my resolution (5120 x 1440) it's more gpu bound.

Wow, yeah that might be your CPU. 6900 XT is a whole lot of GPU to be running on a CPU that old.

Does the game have any sort of resolution slider so you can render at a higher resolution? If doing that increase utilisation, then yeah you're CPU limited. If that's the case, time to get a Ryzen 5000 series. ;)

Yeah the current deal here at OCUK is tempting.

Ctrl-Alt-O to bring up the metrics overlay. 5900XT is epic man.

Thanks but I used the Radeon program to enable but again cherers for the shortcut. I have been tinkering around and OCed my CPU to 4.5GHz and I forgot to turn on XMP. After I did both I am getting around 54 fps but my XMP was too aggressive I had a hard crash. GPU Util is 98% so I don't think I am CPU bound too much. Weird that the CPU Util is only 40%. GPU is boosting to 2560mhz.

upon further testing I am getting more fps in game than in benchmark. I am getting around 59 - 64 fps in game and 54 fps in benchmarks.

EDIT: I think I figured it out. This game loves fast RAM. My potato cpu has s**** memory controller so it can not run fast speed ram. The lower I adjust the ram speed as I keep crashing due to instability my fps drops.

Red Devil is nice, you should *just* get that 6c Haswell to last you til next gen drops (and you know you'll get a another gfx boost with the new system)

I'm going back to 1440p so having more than a 6800XT is pointless, hell I could prob make it last me 4+ years at that res!

Could be waiting a while, I'd want to unlock the full performance of the 6900 XT if that was me. :)

What happened to the OLED mate? You're the reason I'm using that TV now. :D

Yeah new gen are nice but if its DDR5 as leaks suggest then I am not going to make another mistake and pay early adopter price and deal with the dreadful compatibility. X99 gave me enough grief.

EDIT: Finally 200 posts lol
