Him and Wilsom both Need to be sold even if its less than what they want, get wages off books even if there on low amount. We could put there wages elsewhere especially since there never gonna get into first team.
Wages won't be a factor as they'll be loaned out anyway. Neither will be sold unless the club get a reasonable fee, whatever that is. If the club are briefing £15m then I'd guess they'd take £10m but will somebody pay it? It's a difficult market to deal in at the moment, which is why the club are briefing all these stories, in the hope they'll flush out some interest. They tried the same last season and it didn't work.

It’s not unusual for the parent club to keep paying a portion of the loaned players wages. Loan Wilson to a PL club, see how he manages. If he does well then a team will likely pick him up, maybe even for more than he’s currently on offer for. He’s proved a solid Championship player, he needs to prove his worth in the PL now.

If they're high earning players not in demand, yea. There's never been a shortage of takers for either player in terms of a loan though, with the club often turning away loan offers at the start of the window, only to accept them later when it became clear they weren't getting the £15-20m they wanted for them.

Re Wilson, yea in an ideal world (if we can't find a buyer that is) he'd go on loan to a PL side but that's not without risks for both the player and club. I'm not convinced he's very good and he could end up joining a PL side on loan and sitting on the bench for 75% of the time, negatively effecting his development and value.

All very true. Klopp has had clauses in loan deals with a financial penalty if the loaned player doesn’t play a certain number of minutes or games to ensure they’re not just bench warming. It’s worked well in the past with Grujic & Wilson both getting substantial minutes with their loan clubs. Elliott too actually.

Gini has signed for PSG. Sad times.

Looks like United are trying to low ball Dortmund for Sancho. 20 Mil apart in the fixed fee is a big amount.

A drawn out United transfer saga… how unusual. What a curious event.

Its funny how some teams seem to repeat their transfer windows year after year like some weird twilight zone episode. United with its long drawn out sagas and then time runs out and they end up paying someone 400k a week to sign before the window shuts. Arsenal getting linked with everyone under the sun and ending up with some completely unknown French or African player. Chelsea just sending boxes of gold bars to anyone who wants to sign for them and then shipping 46 of them out on loan and so on

United are such penny pinchers it's unbelievable. Remember when they could have signed Fellaini for £23.5m before 31st July I think it was but they kept penny pinching and low balling Everton in a joint transfer bid for him and Leighton Baines, the clause expired and they ended up signing him just before the window closed for an extra £4m in 2013. If Sancho can take them to a league title and Champions League Semi final even, never mind a win, they'll make that back and more.

It is always gut reaction as well. Bruno got signed because people tryed to torch Woodward's house.

If Sancho gets signed for about the same as he was up for last season we will yet again have egg on our face as he could have well been the difference between silverware and no silverware.

They ain’t a patch on us for penny pinching. Don’t you remember the £40m and a quid debacle for Suarez?
