Steam client update released

Updates to the Steam Client have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Steam Client

* Fixed in-game overlay causing a crash for users running Windows XP without Service Pack 2 installed
* Fixed mouse clicks in-game sometimes not registering in the correct position for the in-game overlay
* Reduced CPU useage when using chat and group chat
* Reduced CPU useage while idle on the Store and Community tabs
* Fixed Steam windows showing up in the task-bar but impossible to restore

Yeah but they should have made a different announcement to Euro and Asian/Oceanic players saying the 18th!
Thats all they needed to do. Valve have to learn that Steam is a global product and must be treated as such.

and players need to learn that valve is based in USA, along with a large portion of their client base. If they dont say a specifc time, then you should always assume they will be releasing it sometime in the american time zone.

People forget that valve didnt need to do this, they didnt have to release a public beta. People should be thankfull that valve decided to do this, even if they didnt give a specific time.

Yep and also you cannot decide on a good time for a global product, some time zones are so far in front and behind of others.

Considering they are based in America they should release it during their working hours or whatever to suit them, not another country.
