What 21-22 inch monitor to get?

Hi,
I am after a 21 or 22 ish inch monitor. At the moment i have a 20.1" dell (think the model number is something like 2007-something).

I also need to get a new tv for my room, so was kinda considering paying quite a bit more and using a bigger pc monitor as a tv -- till i realise that even a 30 inch monitor costs about a grand (could probably get a couple of 21ish inch monitors for that... would give more desktop space).

any recommendations? Any to avoid? And how many monitors now have dead pixels when bought? I am thinking of buying 2nd hand so i can ensure they're fully working

And you won't see much difference going from 20.1" to 21" or 22" IMO. If you can afford it, get a 24" model.

Yeah widescreen. And i am going to use it alongside my current one (have been using it with a 17", decided need a little more room)

wouldn't it be better getting like a 32" flatscreen tv with pc in put?

Well if you can afoord it i'd still recommend the Dell 24". It will be about 3/4" taller than your 20" non ws monitor but it will be great for tv viewing as well.
