ATI Radeon X1700 SE ???

my mate is about to buy a H.P desktop system and it has an ATI Radeon X1700 SE gpu, he asked me how this card rates and to be honest i couldnt remeber it? i remember the X1650 then the x1800 and x1900 series cards but couldnt recall a X1700 se, i have searched everywhere but can only find it listed as a mobility laptop gpu? just wondering if anyone can tell me what this card would have compared to in the nvidea series, the salesman told him it is the equivilent of a 7800 gt, is this right?

It's about right, it was an OEM card used in Medion, Advent and a few other PCs iirc. I would guess about 10-15% slower than a 7800GT.

SE means it has half the bandwidth, if that means it is 64 bit, itll be rubbish. If it has a 128 bit memory interface it shouldnt be too bad.
