Best CPU cooler for E/Q6600

Have an E6600 at the moment, running hot, but then its got the stock cooler and it's not seated perfectly.

Hoping to swap for a Q6600 soon and move the E6600 into the media centre.

Obviously I need to get the temps down on the E6600 to get the noise down as it's going to be in the living room.

What cooler should I be looking at for both.

Is the new Thermalright IFX-14 good?

Well they look cool.

It's just not the kind of cool I'm looking for.

It gets good reviews.

Basically seems like the more fans you can strap to it the better.

I put an ifx-14 on mine i couldnt resist, i replaced a zalman 9700,
it dropped my cpu temp about 10c, also i put a 120mm fan on each side, a new zalman 6 fan controller.
it is a lot quieter on full tilt
i used scythe kaze whites,
it doesnt go above 50c, when being caned with MOH airborne, COD4 demo etc, if all the fans are on full , which is still reasonably quiet, also ihave a 120 scythe on the HR-03-PLUS.
