Hi There.

Recently I've noticed myself listening to the same music, over and over. I've been wanting to expand my music collection for a period of time now, and even though I have looked in the charts, they seem to be full of "Greatest Hits" and Multiple Artists on one CD.

Anywho, could you please post your Top albums of 2007, be that 1, 5, 10 whatever :p

Not looking for anything specific, but would prefer to avoid the "Heavy" drum and bass, apart from that I like everything (Have a soft spot for Rock though) ;)

Thanks,

Larnica

This is an odd one for me since I know of a couple of albums which I think are fabulous, but which aren't going to be released till next year. So seeing as this topic is presumably about albums which have been released in 2007, I would go with:

Catafalque - Dialectique
Symphony X - Paradise Lost
Herbst9 vs Z'ev - Through Bleak Landscapes

I genuinely can't think of anything else. It's been a pretty flat year.

Albums which I heard for the first time this year, and which I thought were amazing:

Stolen Babies - There Be Squabbles Ahead
Forgotten Silence - KaBaAch
Akphaezya - Anthology II
To-Mera - Delusions
Mira - There I Go, Daydreamer
Blood Box - World of Hurt
Aghast - Hexerei Im Zwielicht der Finsternis
Vas - In The Garden of Souls
Artemis - Asphodel
Stellamara - The Seven Valleys
Irfan - Irfan
Raison d'etre - Within the Depths of Silence and Phormations

Hardly any metal there at all, surprisingly.

There's only two for me really:

Noisettes - what's the time mr wolf?
Kings of Leon - because of the times

For me 2007 has been more about finding and listening to great albums (IMO) which I had managed to never hear before. Eg:

Beirut - gulag orkestar
Adem - love and other planets
Great Lake Swimmers - great lake swimmers
Neutral Milk Hotel - in the aeroplane over the sea
Reigning Sound - too much guitar

Among others.
