can I do this without looosing the data on the drive?
Its Ndas drive and for some reason I formatted it as fat 32....dont ask as I dont know why myself. However I have over 400gig on this drive I dont want to loose and havent anymore space else where for.I know the simple answer would be to buy another drive and copy over but funds are low lol

The convert.exe which ships with Windows allows a one time convert from FAT32 to NTFS.

By Ndas do you mean a network attached drive? If so are you sure that it supports NTFS? Do you need to access it with anything that won't read NTFS?

convert C: /fs:ntfs (check the drive letter ofc)
It keeps your data intact, however its always a good idea to have a backup. Or nothing critical on that drive just in case ;)

you'll need to plugged in directly to the pc, not over network cable

it's a good idea to make a backup when meddling with partitions, let alone file systems
