Well being 40 my insurance is cheap, but then add a (future) group 50 car and it goes up again.

Clean licence, 10 years plus NCB and a 911 GT3 = £1195. That also included my Mrs and she has 6 points, business use, and track day cover, so I think pretty good. I would expect the RS4 to be around £500 - £600 when I come to add that, will find out tomorrow when I call my insurer.

There are about a thousand different variables which makes trying to compare prices with anyone else pointless but heres mine anyway :o

25, 8yrs NCD (not protected), fully comp, legal cover, £300 total excess, 14k per annum, unlimited business use (up to 14k), parked on the drive, low crime area = £382 for my Octavia vRS (IG16)

25 Years old (was 24 at renewal time), Driving for 2 years, 2 yrs NCB.

Ford Capri 2.8i with a handful of declared modifications. Classic Car policy, limited to 3000miles a year, £228 Fully Comp :D.

Also drive a Rover 220SD, both me & my dad on the insurance driving the car equally, he is 54, not using any NCB here myself but my dad is using full protected NCB as he has 2 lots of full NCB. £323 TPFT :(.

Also a named driver on a Volvo 940SE 2.0 Estate & i have to pay £15 a month as thats what it added to my dads policy, so i suppose thats costing me £180 a year to be a named driver there, also insured TPFT.

Wow, who is that with and how many year no claims etc.

I think everyone needs to start posting who they are with, provides great guidelines for people browsing to find the best deals on their next cars :p

Thing is that could be third party only and limited to 1000 miles, hence why these type of threads are a bit useless for actual comparisons.

If they state that then surely its a better guide than nothing. (just wanted to use the Xmas hat rolleyes!)

I agree, but it is still awesome to find out that somebody of a young age can get insured in a certain car. Give me hope! :p

35? Isnt it time you moved on from a Fiesta? :p

Lol - the Fiesta's is my wife's car not mine Fox, we've also got a 10 year old Ford Escort which i use round town.

Way i see it is i've had fast sports cars before when i was in my 20's also with one of us working and one of us in full time education buying, insuring and running a sports / high preformance car is out of the question financially speaking. :(
