I would have thought most people wouldn't buy from the high street when you can get games cheaper online.

Depends. some people would rather be able to walk into a shop and pretty much be guaranteed to have it on release day rather than hope the post is efficient and brings it on time.

I was supposed to have a Blu ray of the simpsons film on release day, its still not here

might as well have bought a 2nd hand game and wrapped that up mate, its effectively what u have done...

if u wanted the game, buy 2 copies.

Utter twaddle. So a book is second hand cause it's not sealed?. What about games stores that put the disk in the box when you take the box to the counter instead of getting a sealed one?

Sorry but the op was right to check that the game was working.
