Hi. I was wodering if I would be able to change CPU or the graphic card on my existing computer. I bought it about 1 and a bit year ago in the big purple shop. But since all the warrenties were over and my computer has started to rapidly slow down whilst playing new games at high graphics setting.

Also I'm not very...familiar with computers except from gaming.
I know that I have 2GB ram in the current computer. and that's about it...
I was willing to invest up to about £300 withing next few months.

Please guide me where to begin
Thank you

that is a good spec, but if possible i would get the e2200 instead as it offers more speed at stock for a very small increase in price and a higher multiplier too for OCing

Ummm I also had a question.
Is it the CPU which will run my games faster or the Graphics card.

and the CPU which was suggested above which had 2.00GHz, isn't it lower than the one which I already have in the computer which is 3.20GHz?

cheers

It's CPU Graphics card, RAM and the motherboard that really control the output of the system.
Shaun's post is a good start, with some good advice from Jak.

The processors specced have 2 cores, whereas your current only has 1 core.
In this case the e2200 would be a good upgrade and the GPU above would make all current games fly at a good resolution.
