With all the news on TV lately about the hurricanes that America is experiencing, the typhoons in China, flooding in Switzerland and recent mud slides in South America, we shouldn't forget that the UK has its share of devastating natural disasters too.

Attached is a photo illustrating the damage caused to my home from the earthquake that occurred last night.

It really makes you cherish what you have, and reminds us not to take things for granted.

Do take care of yourself and be safe.

What time did it happen around? In the late evening last night I thought I heard a chopper over head, could that be it? Mates at school were saying they felt it this morning.

****!

I've just seen the photo of the lads' room, who broke his pelvis because of the masonry that collapsed.

He was a friends of my friends friend. Will post the pic once I get permission.

That's scary as . . . :(

Poor lad, wish him a painless recovery.

I'm about 50 odd miles from the epicenter. It woke everyone in the house up and set off someones burglar alarm. I could feel my bed still shaking slightly for at least 20 seconds.
