I've been out keeping tabs on my feathered friend again, so far i've seen him nail around 6 voles but each time he's woofed them down 1/4 of a mile away.
I've been out a few times just to watch him, as he's a really powerful flyer and quite a character, i'd have killed to have had opportunities like this 4 weeks ago, i've got text files all over my computer full of locations for short eareds all over the country, can't believe this guy is only 5 miles away..
