yeah but they dont understand. They just keep saying they have wifi which is not what i w ant to know. Thye dont understand what a freaking modem connection is.

If they have a telephone in the room, just unplug that surely?

your right. Two points though, some hotels hardwire the phones or stick the socket behind headboards. The other is that using the phone socket normally means its by the bed making it awkward to use via the desk. But agreed the chnaces are at the least i can unplug the phone.
