Dell HDMI output

Got a Dell 1525 on Tuesday to replace my broken Acer and I'm having some problems with outputting to my Samsung PS42Q97HDX 42" using the HDMI output the VGA works fine though :S

The image is either far to small or to big is there some special settings for the HDMI output

What screen res is it outputting?

It should be set to 1024x768. That said, I found vga much better than hdmi on a friends 1080p display but hdmi much better on my dell 2407.

Same here, have installed XP on my 1525 and using hdmi connected to a 40" lcd works great. Get exact representation as seen on the notebooks screen, noborders etc..
