He doesn't the bikes are going faster than the car, he locks the front end and he gets projected/catapault into the back of the car.

He was probably going too fast and grabbed a handfull of front brake when he realised how fast he was gaining on the car.

The car in front was coming to a stop. He wasn't ready for this and applies too much front brake and goes over the bars at a speed greater than the car, so he hits it.

ah i see now, hadnt noticed how much faster he was going, he's going considerably faster than the other bikes
