With a 7800gt there is about an inch between the hard-drive rack and the end of the gpu, removing 1 of the hardrive racks and you would easily fit a longer card in.
Think theres no chance of fitting the fullsize sythe i there without cutting some hole in the top pannel.
Quick measure with a ruler puts it at about 130mm, and it seems the height of the sythe is 150mm.
