if you're looking for some cheap 2.0 speakers for your PC/MP3 player etc.

Gigabyte s6500 - £17.99 delivered

Ok, they're not much compared to my £100 bookshelf speakers + £100 amp but for the money they're a bargain. Decent sound, clear with very little distortion all the way up to high volumes.
Lacking bass but then they only have 4" drivers (still, better than any of the competition I can think of).

Build quality is ok, MDF cabinets and a kevlar cone for the main driver. Not going to fall apart and much better than the normal plastic.

Now for the pics:

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm using some mordaunt short speakers that are a similar size to this. Not much bass as you say, but combine these with a sub and you will get very good sound. I suggest crossing over at 110Hz. :)

For less than £20 you can't go wrong - You couldn't build them yourself for that!
