I've got a Vestax mixer as part of my DJ setup, one of the phono connectors has come off the back, so when you connect a turntable you just get a buzzing sound.

I've taken into my local music repair place, and they're saying they can't fix it due to the block at the back being one unit.

I don't wanna throw away a £300 mixer for the sake of a £2 phono connector so would like to try and sort this!

The missing connector:

And what I have available to add in/replace:

Don't know how I can get into it to put in a new connector....if there were 2 wires I could just connect it up to that..

Do they not just 'slot' in then? It might be soldered in already, then you just put the corresponding header into the previous slot?

How on earth is it missing? Presumably you pulled the tihng out in the first place.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Are you near Bristol at all? I could fix that no problem.

I think it would be best to remove the whole 6 slot unit and replace it with Neutrik chassis mount RCA connectors.
