The case, and everthing in it, is tightly secured together - nothing loose whatsoever.

It's like a slow, pulsing resonating, and it dampens if I put pressure on the top.

Like I said, I think I've narrowed it down to the CPU cooler, but it'll be a lot of work to find out for sure as it bolts through the motherboard.

So that'd mean taking everything apart, swapping the HS/F for the stock Intel one, putting it all back together and if it didn't solve it I'd be back to square one...

Anyway, think I'll live with it for now. It'll give me another excuse for an unnecessary upgrade once the new Intel CPUs are out. :D

So what did you order for it? Did it arrive? I'm interested in any little additions I can make to this sweet case. :D

Edit: Another thing; see those little slots half way up the front? At the side of the first 5 1/4" bay above the power button - any idea what they're for?

I ordered two Noctua fans for the PCI cooler and the bracket intake fan, a Noctua NH-U12P CPU heatsink, and a Zalman VF1000 for my 8600GT.

I fitted the Zalman and the two fans earlier. Will take pics once the heatsink is fitted, but I want to lap the e5200 first. :)

It's for the door lock...isn't it?

Are you not a bit worried about it rolling off the desk tho? hehe ;p

I put the brake on and I don't live on a hill so it should hopefully be OK. :p

Ah so it is. Not used the lock yet as it fell to pieces when I opened the door so I can be forgiven for not knowing that. :D

I wanna know how he got it up there in the first place! :D

Mine weighs a ton fully laden.

I'm obviously just a beefcake. :p

Bit of an update. Finished all my cooling upgrades last week as well as a few other bits and pieces and finally had some time to take a few shots. :)

Looking good Thumbs!

Just ordered some Noctua fans myself. I went for the P12 versions though as they were only a couple of quid more and apparently give slightly better air pressure.

Have you upgraded the front 140mm fan? It doesn't really seem that quiet, even when running at low RPMs.

P12's give better static air pressure, which is why one comes with the heatsink. The s12's are perfectly fine for normal case fans aslong as there's little restriction.

The 140mm is standard at the mo. Partly because Noctua don't make one (lol) and mine seems quiet yet pushes a good amount of air. There's a yateloon I have my eye on though.

TRUE? That's no TRUE! :p

It's a Noctua NH-U12P heatsink that comes with a P12 fan. TRUE's are meant to be a very good match with P12's though.

And thank you. :)

This is a fine looking case but why did they hang a door on it? It adds very little to the design, it serves no useful function, in fact it does nothing but get in the way of the DVD/ CD drives.

Nice build though.

I'd normally agree, but I'm not a fan of the design of the V1010 (without the door).

A door is excellent for a silent system though. My PC is quite obviously louder with the door open than it is closed.

If you use optical drives often I can see it being a chure, but I rarely use mine. I have the BIOS set to power-on via keyboard aswell so I hardly ever have to open it.
