I swapped to the 180.60s and they seem much better than 180.48 - with .48 I was having the odd crash in left 4 dead and fingers crossed so far I've not had that problem with .60. Performance is also better tho its only marginal... i.e. 62fps where I had 59fps before.

Same here, 180.60 are much better for me.

Maybe the drivers aren't to blame at all :(

Noticed some artifacting on Vista bootup screen when i switched the pc on today... Ran furmark and crashed again, so reverted back to 178.13's which never presented a problem to me but furmark crashed on those as well. 1 out of every 3 or 4 boots has some artifiacting (black jaggy section on left hand side) and the size of it keeps increasing lol.

Going to play a bit of switcheroo with my old 8800ultra thats in my brothers pc and put this 260 in his, see what turns out. Looks like i may have to sample BFG's RMA department :/

OK its the card, kept crashing my brothers setup in exactly the same fashion oh well. Glad its nothing more serious *touches wood*

Didn't notice any changes in Grid with me, performed and looked just as good as any set of drivers ive used on both this 260gtx and my 8800ultra

No i don't like using beta drivers :( , however the card's been tested on 2 systems with 2 driver sets and given that the 8800ultra has no issues on either, only the 260. I'd reckon its safe to say its buggered.

C:\Windows\System32\nvlddmkm.sys

NVIDIA 180.48 nvlddmkm.sys Size on disk: 9,764,864 12/11/2008

Windows still refer to x64/64-bit as AMD64 for some reason.

12/11/2008 is the correct date, so it looks like your did update itself.

If on Vista its actually not in that folder at all, its here :C:\Windows\System32\drivers

Vista64 but do not see that making any difference to location as its not in WOW64 Folder.
