Wireless 5.1 Surround System?

Ive being fancying a 5.1 system to compliment our Samsung LCD / Xbox 360 / PS3 setup, mainly for Bluray movies and gaming.

My only problem is that I have real-wood flooring, thats why Ive never bothered with 5.1 before as the wires would look ghastly with my DIY skills.

I was recently under the impression that some of the Samsung 5.1 systems are Bluetooth and dont use wiring for the speakers. Now I think I might be mistaken and its just a gimmick for connecting your mobile etc??

Can anyone tell me if theres such a thing as wireless 5.1 speaker systems? I know I could always wire the system with some time and patience - neither of which I have. Its wireless or nothing

How come the small wires which could be easily hidden would bother you, but not the fact you'd have ugly speakers strewn accross the room?

Eh, I guess you mean for the wirless system.

get the DIY tools out and have a go, real men do DIY not whine on the net

Yes which is why I think they are not worth the hassle imo.

Indeed andthe cable will probably be thicker anyway, plus with increased cost and worse sound, they will all in all be a waste of money.

For my rear speakers I chased my cables up the wall to ceiling level then ran them around behind the coving works pretty well

Front speakers are mounted on a floating wall and sub built into custom made TV bench.
