Time for a new machine, reason being? I want one that will play the new grand theft auto!

My current spec can be seen in my signature. What I already have (and therefore dont need is..)

Powersupply - although, could do with a new one I think, old ones not great.
Harddrive - got a 160, 500 & 76 raptor.
Optical Driver - got a dvdrw
Case - My Antec Super lanboy is fine.

So I need...

Processor
Motherboard
RAM
Graphics Card

Want something that will happily run the new GTA and wont need upgrading much for a good 4/5 years.

Would be nice to have something I can Overclock a bit.

My budget is about £350, upto £400 max.

Cheers!

Not 100% sure, but for £400 without PSU, you might struggle to get a machine that runs the bugged all to hell GTA4 PC version.

for ram, there's really no doubt about it:
http://overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-086-OC
get a 4850 for a video card
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...3 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail

decent mobo, like
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...P43 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
and a quad-core like
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
alternatively you could switch the cpu for a e7300/8200 and overclock it. you'll be less "future-proof" but have relatively close performance in games.

opus, it took me ages to write this post, looks like some other people posted aswell.
but i've got quad core and i'm near the 400 pounds budget :D

Ben
I recomended the quad as I hear GTAIV is one of the few games that actually utilizes it, Id normally recomend C2D myself but if he wants a machine specifically for that game wouldnt quad be better recomendation?
I went for the powercolour over the HIS as although it is slightly more it is pre-OC and has better warranty
