Looking for some recommendations for a visit to Tokyo.

Good places to stay things to do once there etc.

Going to go there with the wife at the end of March for 1 week approx.

Thanks in advance.:)

On Expedia, return flights and hotel for 6 nights came out at about £700 per person

Been wanting to go to Tokyo for ages myself but kept putting it off, but definitely doing it this time.

Been there 3 years ago, was good although I stayed longer.

First things you'll notice how culturally different it is, given different footwear (slippers) every time you enter leave houses and toilets. Eating whilst on the move is frowned upon I think.

The trains are awesome, we had a weeks pass with the bullet train. All trains even the local ones arrive on the dot both in time and position, don't go during rush hour though. You'll find people have some kind of talent of getting on the train, sleeping then getting up exactly when they are at their station. Lots of places to shopping, although clothes tend to be quite small.

I've been. It's very good. Do these things:

Go to the womb
Go to the electronic district
Go to an onsen
Eat Fugu
Get a train up to Nikko and look around
Go to shibuya crossing

Don't go into any of the department stores, tokyu hands and the like. Don't think I've been as annoyed as I was in those places.
